EDWARD
SALINAS
I began playing french horn in the 6th grade in Brownsville, Texas. Since then, I knew music would be a main staple in my life. In my second year in music I made 2nd chair in the regional band and the next year I made 1st. I had the opportunity to perform with the Texas State Honor band in high school where I sat principal horn. After high school I marched mellophone with Revolution Drum and Bugle Corps and we earned the silver medal as well as the Best Brass award. A few years later, I returned to Drum Corps International as an instructor. In college, as a bass in the Master Choral I toured in Ireland and Italy performing at many renown places including the Saint Patrick's Cathedral and High Mass at the Vatican. I've taught high school marching bands and lead schools to higher ratings. While in Brownsville, I performed with multiple bands playing guitar, bass guitar, trumpet and singing both lead and backup vocals. Since moving to Galveston in 2015, I have taught with the Fanfare Lutheran Music Academy and played with the Galveston Community Band. My new group, 7 Day Weekend, plays Friday nights at Floyd's on the Water. Now its time for me to work with you.

From performing with Drum Corps International to singing at the Vatican, my experience is vast. Just as variety is the spice of life, it adds flavor to your music. I can use my experience to tailor yours. Each musician is different, and each lesson should be as well. After discussing your goals in music, we will tailor a curriculum to your needs.
